Here is the video of our 19yr old baby girl being sworn into the US Army by her father. She leaves January 13,2009 for basic training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. Her job title is gonna be Mental Health Specialist. Her advanced individual training will be held at Fort Sam Houston Texas...She then will get her duty station once her AIT is complete....

We are so proud of her!! Yes, as her Momma I am very worried for her safety and well being, but I know my Lord has her in His hands!!! So please send a LOUD comment of CONGRATULATIONS out to my baby girl!!!! she reads my blog so start 'em coming!!!

Oh. I guess if I'd read this post first - I'd have known which branch she was going into! How wonderful to have her dad swear her in. My grandpa swore my husband into the military and there's something so special about that. Thanks for sharing this very exciting news!

Thanks to everyone for your support through this new adventure that I will be experiencing!
I'm SO excited! Not to mention, nervous, scared, sometimes doubtful....but, moreso happy and EXCITED!
I know this is something that I will always remember & never regret!
I can proudly say that I am in the US Army! (& that I didn't sware in under the Anti-Christ! -Kidding, not really :P)
Moreso, I'm so thankful that my daddy got to sware me in. It's something that I will never forget!
Thanks again to everyone that supports my decision! I know there are people that doubt me, my abilities, my stregth & maybe my courage. But, believe me..with the love & support of my family, friends and God...I will get through this :)

....and, yeh Mrs. Susan....I was planning on Dental -not mental...but, this way, I get to help people, only in a different way :D
