Today is......

Today is a day that not many orphans like to celebrate....it is a day that they are sent away to mental institutions are left there to basically die. I am not sure the whole process in India, But I do know that the society there doesn't embrace a child with a disability like we in America do.

Today, is a very special day for a very special little girl. This little girl, we will call her V, currently lives in a orphanage in India....she was brought there at 1 day old, and was found abandoned in a train station by a police officer....she has Down Syndrome. This little girl has stole my heart and she doesn't even know it!!!

I found V on a website the very first day we were in Colombia 17 mths ago to adopt our Gabby and Lily. She is a very healthy little girl and today she turns 6. she has never had a family to celebrate her birth, she has never known the love that only a Mommy and Daddy , a big brother and big sister, and 4 other sisters can give...she has never had the cuddles that only a Mommy and Daddy can give, she has never had the airplane ride in Daddy's arms around the house, she hasn't had the rough tickle time and ring around the rosie time like only a Daddy can do...she has never had the opportunity to be a DADDY'S GIRL.....

I so want this little girl to feel the love of a Momma and Daddy even if its for only one day!!! Please say a prayer for this sweet V as today she will be 6yrs old. Her orphanage very well will celebrate for her in some way, so this I am thankful. Please help me raise awareness for this sweet girl, and for all the children born with Down Syndrome all around the world, that long secretly for the love and attention that only a family can give.

V is a healthy and outgoing little girl, she goes to a school during the day and is sad when school is out for the summer. She loves playing with the other kids, eats well, dresses herself, is potty trained, uses some sign language, trys to talk, understands everything that is spoken to her, and has no heart conditions. She isnt on any medications on a daily basis....could this little girl be your long lost daughter......

Our life is not always a bed or roses with the sometime craziness all our little ones can dish out, BUT I am thankful that our girls do have a family to call their own. They have a Momma and Papa to love them unconditionally, they have a bed of their own, they have plenty of clothes and toys that are just theirs, they have older siblings that love them, they have a F A M I L Y and they now have the opportunity to know that LOVE that only our JESUS can give them...they have a HOPE for the future!!!

Lily, this week has reminded me on numerous occasions that she is so happy and glad she has a mommy and daddy now....it melts my heart!!!!

I know where your heart is in regards to this beautiful angel and I pray that Miss V finds a family before her next birthday...or that the ma-ma that already loves her gets to start the process to bring her home!

Where does one go to start looking at adoptable kids? Where does one begin the process?
